ALLER – RETOUR

Aller-Retour, AR without the N, is essentially the ‘making-of’ story of ARN. But although it resembles a travel journal in form, the book is much more than that. It is the story of an encounter between images and writing. Comprising 120 photos and as many texts, it unwinds like a long ribbon of kilometres, seasons, landscapes, buildings, fleeting fatigue, unexpected encounters, individual doubts and shared wonders.
Blending humour and solemnity, enthusiasm and melancholy, each photo/text digs into the fabric of reality, creating a space where readers will find the authors’ reflections on travel and their work, on life as a couple and the state of France, on the course of events and the colour of the sky.
