The third map in the Atlas of Natural Regions describes the topography and its landscapes.
Dividing the relief into five successive levels, it repeats like a jingle a set of terms that describe, through variations in altitude, the landscapes we pass through. The geological past, meteorology, agricultural occupation and industrial developments are added to complete the picture.
A few peaks of varying heights and natural features marked with an asterisk add a local and evocative depth to this common vocabulary.
